Delaytor is designed to control the delay generator
DG535 of Stanford Research Systems through a GPIB interface. This generator
seems to be the most popular device of its type in research labs, because of its excellent characteristics and
versatility.
Delaytor (from DELAY generaTOR) can be used as stand-alone
program and used at the same time as COM local-process server
from any program language which support this standard (e.g.
Borland's Delphi or C++Builder, Microsoft's Visual Basic or
Visual C, etc). The program itself is written on Delphi 3 - the source is
included.
This screen shot of Delaytor will
give you an idea about the interface.
Hardware and software requirements - you need to have the
following things
1. Computer with Microsoft Windows 95/98/NT.
2. National Instruments GPIB card with installed driver. The
program uses gpib-32.dll library file from Windows system
directory.
3. Delay generator DG535 with GPIB interface (this is standard
interface option).
Installation
After having all the required hardware and system software listed
above (including drivers for GPIB card), unzip files from the
package into the directory of your choice and run Delaytor.exe. You
will be asked for the GPIB address of DG535 device (the default one
is 15) when you run it for the first time.
ComTest.exe demonstrates the COM local-process server ability of the program.
The full source code is included so you can adapt it to your particular conditions.
